Q. We all know Paulie got robbed, Chris John got van hoyed there as well. Germany also has a rich history of robberies. So would you rather fight a Texan in Texas? Or a German in Germany?

A. Whenever I am looking for a breeder I always start at the breed's club. In this case the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America. You want to make sure the breeder is reputable. Most breeders that are listed on the club's site can be trusted - which is why I always look there. Here is the breeder directory for the GSPCA. Unfortunately there are none listed in Texas, but if you contact the president of the club I am sure they can refer you to a great breeder that is closest to you.

Where can i buy a purebred German Shepherd puppy in Houston Texas?
Q. i want a German Shepherd puppy. preferably not older than 8 weeks old. I live in Houston texas and i dont want it to be TOO long a drive away, but a few hours would be okay.i also want a purebreed. I'm thinking of purchasing from Von Der Otto Kennels becuase they're expecting a litter pretty soon...oh and only male...thnx!=)

A. dont use sites like puppyfind.. you will find nothing but puppy mills and back yard breeders there. try www.petfinder.com you can find purebred puppies in rescue.. also try getting a referral thru the German Shepherd club.. to a breeder who does show/work their dogs and genetic health tests to assure healthy animals.. 8 weeks is the youngest you can get.. no one in their right mind would sell a pup any younger.. many reputable breeders actually keep their pups until 10-12 weeks of age!

A. Some craft type stores sell cake "mailers"! I haven't needed one in years but have used them to ship cakes. You will also want lot's of fragile and this end up stickers and FedEx ruined fewer of my mailings than the other two guys (the guilty shall remained unnamed) but it's never a sure thing! Make sure the cake is bagged (not just plastic wrapped) and use swizzle sticks to keep the bag off the frosting. Use marshmallows to fill the empty spaces in the box (they work better than foam peanuts). Lastly cross your fingers and hope for the best! Good luck

A. You'll want a single coated breed if it needs to tolerate the heat of texas. The mode of breeds are double coated, but I have a whippet and that is single coated as the breed originates from Africa. Look up on single coated dogs if I were you. A german shepherd X Husky will probably have problems with the heat, and could have behavioural problems. I dont know too, much about Alaskan Malamutes, but as they come from Alaska and have extremely thick coats, they would have problems. Malamute, Shepherd X = Husky, Shepherd X =
